As a Seattle native, I wasn't...
As a Seattle native, I wasn't really sure what to expect of the Portland strip clubs. But recently went to Portland for the first time, for a bachelor party weekend, and I can say that Portland has many more clubs with more diversity... but that on the whole no club is really worth going to our more lapdance oriented Seattle clubs. The style is more focused on stage shows, and not dancing- and the dancing is all air dancing anyway.
I went to the Acropolis on a Saturday night, having been at Mary's Club the night before with our group. The only one (of merely 3) dancers at Mary's worth looking at was a volumptuous brunette named Anya- very hot, full natural breasts and hips, interesting tribal tattoos on her back, lots of piercings. Very SuicideGirl, which I like. That's one thing positive about portland- there are more "alterna-normal" girls, in that there are some hot, pierced, tattooed hotties, the kind you'd see strutting around Seattle or Portland looking so fine. Not every dancer is a silicone'd doll like you'd expect.
Anyway, this Anya recommended we all come to the Acropolis the next night, which allegedly has "great steaks" and where she'd be working. Well, Saturday we decided to eat at Jake's Grill in downtown, and then hit the Acropolis afterward- sorry, but I'm not one to eat at a place that had that "dive" vibe, and I'm glad I didn't. The Acropolis is a good 10 minutes from downtown, where you can stumble from club to club, so it's kind of out of the way especially by cab (7 people squeezed into a van cab cost $22 from downtown portland).
