Well, things aren't getting much worse...

Well, things aren't getting much worse at Treasures, but they aren't getting better either. The quality of the dancers dropped following the raids and the unfortunate conclusion of this stage of the legal battle, and that has recovered a little bit, but things aren't back to where they were. I stopped by for lunch last week and was not that impressed. I got a dance from a young Hispanic spinner first, and it was an air dance, essentially. I thanked her, and spotten a little Asian lady, and got a dance from her. Also unimpressive. I wondered if today was "barely touch the customer" day or something. This was followed by an Anglo dancer with a bad attitude (although she told me that it wasn't me) and another Hispanic dancer who seemed sullen. I really was wondering if I was doing something to upset everyone! I finished my drink and noticed an older blonde and flagged her down. She needed a drink and I needed a second one and we chatted for a while. Business had been a little off, and everyone was wary. I went ahead and got a dance from her and was quite pleased, and she seemed happy that she was getting the work. Now, the dance was excellent and she was not bad looking at all, so that may say something about the overall amount of business (or perhaps she was just having a bad month). In any case, after three dances my zipper went down and so did she, and I left happy ten minutes later, but what should have taken twenty minutes if I had been focused on it took an hour. The whole experience was weird, and I sure miss the old Treasures.

Unfortunately, not a must-see in Houston anymore, at least during the day shift.
