Had a decent time here recently. It's still VERY smoky, but I guess if you're willing to brave the oxygen-free zones then you'll probably enjoy yourself. Lappers available for $20 per song in the "public" side room, or in a more private cubicle down the other hallway for $30. Some hot chicks, many willing to just sit around and chat with you. Lots of younger women who got knocked up, need the cash to support the kids, and just want to have some fun while they're making their money. The clientele is almost entirely white, except right after 5 pm weekdays when a crowd of Hispanics comes in, gets beers, leaves. Mostly I'd say this is the "good ol' boy" or even redneck crowd in NOLa, jeans t-shirts types. I can't rate it "best in NOLa" any more, though it is still true that this is "where the locals go." French Quarter clubs are too upscale to be locals haunts, they cost so much that they can only be a "special" occasion, and if you want to get away from the tourists then this is where it's at. But it's, by national standards, nothing special at all, just a normal titty bar with decent lappers and decent prices on the drinks. Usually a cover charge of $4, more during prime time. Excellent parking lot security.
