I went to this club within...

I went to this club within the last year or two, and I was not very surprised by what I saw. As you can see by all the other reviews of this place, Cheaters is well known in RI for being one of the dirtiest and sleaziest clubs in the USA. The club is located on the right as you travel south along Allens Avenue through the industrial waterfront/ship docking area of south Providence. It's not a very nice area at all...the surrounding landscape varies from looking like it's been abandoned to looking like it's been carpet bombed. There is a parking lot, but the club gets a lot of patrons at night...so be prepared to park on the street at your own risk (my car emerged unblemished from my trip here)...there is kind of high thug factor outside at night in this part of town. This club is basically right down the road from a much nicer club...Desire.

Walk up the stairs into the club...and do yourself a favor and pay the bouncer a quick $15 to get you into the club itself ($5) and into the all-nude room in the back of the main floor ($10 for the ticket to give the bouncer outside that other door). The bar will be on your right past the main entrance bouncer, and there's a booth where the waitresses get their drinks near the bar as well. The absolutely fithy, dirty, wet bathroom is behind the bar, and the entrance to the all-nude room is next to that behind the bar as well. To the left in the main room is a pit-like structure with a main stage for topless dancing and some boths for private dances. There's another, sports bar type place up a long flight of stairs in the center of the club, but I never checked that part of the club out. I think the dancers did circulate up there though. The all-nude room is basically a big rectangle with the main, mirrored dance stage on the left as you enter...with the imfamous closed booth, "anything goes" area on the right along with a big U-shaped nude lap dance area that's surveilled by its own bouncer.

I did not partake in any dances on the night that I was there due to the lack of any real female talent to my liking, but I think I was quoted around $35 for a topless lapdance, around $50 for a nude lapdance, and around $180 for access to the private room (where "anything goes" with the right dancer). There is a very high hustle factor at this club...I would be surprised if you could go a whole song or two without being approached very aggressively by a dancer. They will want to see if you want to have a little "fun" (read "extra"-type fun), by them a drink(s), and/or tip them basically for the priviledge of them talking to your loser ass I guess.
