For someone used to American clubs, this was an interesting experience, despite the fact the club labels itself as an "American-style Table Dance club".

Its in a shady section of West Berlin, where sex clubs abound. I got the impression, at least here in Berlin, American-style strip-clubs are considered too lightweight. An internet search of the other clubs listed in the magazine in my hotel showed them to all essentially be brothels - which is not my thing. So I went for the "american" club.

The club doesn't open until 9 or 10pm. I went in on a Sunday night about half an hour after opening. 10 Euros to get in, for which you get 4 or 5 "dollars" for tipping the dancers. I walked into the long, thin room, and found myself the only customer, along with one barmaid, and two or three dancers. The entire room is probably only 8-10 feet wide, half of which is taken up by the bar which doubles as the stage. The dancers danced along the length of the bar, having to navigate carefully around a pillar to avoid falling off the bar. I had one drink, tipped the two dancers twice each... once on removing their top, the other on removing the bottom, and then headed out.
