Visions is where the locals go...
Visions is where the locals go in New Orleans. You'll have to drive well out of downtown (probably a $20 cab ride?) to the intersection of Downman Road and Chef Menteur Highway (aka Gentilly Road or US 90). Visions has about six or eight girls working on a weekday night, as many as fifteen on a weekend. Most are solid 7s, even 8s, but more weathered and less primped or refined looking than the girls in the French Quarter. Visions is a "locals" place in all its aspects. The set-up is weird -- two oblong bars along which girls walk / dance after their set, and if you're sitting there YOU ARE REQUIRED TO TIP. Drinks are low to average for a strip club, selection is slightly limited (mostly beers and shooters). Girls are higher-contact and more personable than at most high-hustle FQ clubs. Reports are that back rooms ($20 or $30 per song) might allow for some "extras" at Visions, but I doubt it, especially with the "extras central" club Passions just a half-block away.
Some recent bad experiences have been improved upon. Maybe it was just my attitude. Sometimes at a club like this, if you aren't tolerant of a girl having a bad night, and YOU don't go out of YOUR way to help her have a good time, you can be considered an arrogant jerk. And even if you do act the Mister Nice Guy the girls will probably abandon you in an instant for one of their regulars. Which isn't to say you can't become one of them. :)
