On a brief business trip to Washington I managed to get out one night. I'm almost sure that the strip club I went to was Archibalds, but I was pretty drunk (note: don't stagger around Washington drunk). It's a small club, slightly below street level. Looks bigger than it because of mirrors. Basically a narrow, straight shot to the back, with a stage in the rear and one in the middle, on the right as you enter. No lap dancing, though dancers do get nude. A fair amount of tipping at the stage considering that there's no real incentive to do so. So it can be a cheap night if all you want to do is galk. I thought Washington bars and restaurants were non-smoking, but either they have an exemption when bars get most of their income from drinks, or else some places simply ignore the law. Walked in and got hit with a wall of smoke. Fortunately my hotel had a dryclearning service.
