Used to be "Paradise Cafe". The name has been changed recently to "The Black Pearl Gentleman's Club." It's open Wed, Fri, and Sat nights. This is not a traditional strip club. It is connected to, and is designed to support a legal brothel. The bartender was proud to proclaim that, "this is the only place in the world where you can get a nude lap dance and then legally pay your dancer for a date!"

It's a pretty great concept and I'm surprised this hasn't been succussful in the past. I know it was attempted here in Winnemucca under the name "Paradise Cafe," but that venture didn't work. I assume it's because of improper management, not because the idea isn't excellent. The same people now own all five of the old cathouses that are situated in this small semi-cirle on the northwest corner of town. These buildings are all old and in need of attention, but with a bit of imagination you can tell there useed to be some wild partying going on here in days long past. I personally participated in one wild evening in the fall of 1980 or '81, and I will never forget what a great party I had in the old "Cozy Corner" which is now called the "Wild West Saloon." The Black Pearl is next door to the Wild West.

The new owners are trying to renovate this old "red light district" and restore it to it's former glory. I wish them well. I stopped in 2 weeks ago and had a nice time with a cute young black chick named "Saphire." She's got an amazing trim body and perfect skin. She gave me a great lap nude dance for $40 and then offered me full service for a couple hundred more. I did not go for that, but I'll be back for more of her charms.
