I am rating this place as...

I am rating this place as what it is--a whorehouse--rather than as what it is not--a strip club. There is a small stage where some of the better looking girls dance later in the evening, but that is in no way the main focus of the club. ANy one, including some people I know on this board, who appreciate the techniques of stripping and lap dancing, will be disappointed. The reason to go to Adelita's is to look at, socialize with, and fuck, basically good looking girls, predominantly of Mexican heritage. Here are the salient points:

1. Getting there/getting back. I was staying at a hotel near the San Diego airport, and took a cab to the border. This is clearly the high-cost alternative, since it was $50 each way. However, I went too late at night to take the public transportation trolley. I didn't otherwise need a rental car, and I suspect that in S.D. I wasn't going to get away with a rental car for less than two days, at a cost probably in excess of 100.00. I saw a huge number of private rental lots at the border where gringos park while in Tijuana.

Crossing the border was uneventful, even at 10:00 p.m. Upon getting onto Mexican soil, I was hit on my a force of cabbies who were happy to take me to Adelita's for $6.00. Going back to the US was as routine a matter at 2:00 am as leaving it had been four hours earlier. I had my passport, but from what I could see, the Border Agent just sort of riffled the pages. I don't think that he even looked at the section with the identifying information, and he didn't ask me the usual questions you get on re-entering the US from other countries.
