Stick to the Tables

It had been a few months since we hit Dandy Dan's, so my buddy and I decide to stop by on a Saturday afternoon after running some errands nearby. We parked and walked up to the entrance and were greeted with a city notice that had been taped to the door. It said something about the club having been cited for allowing solicitation or whatever. Our first though was "oh crap. That means everyone is going to be acting on their best behavior, and it would be a BORING afternoon. We had witnessed that before at a club in Vegas that had gotten a visit from the cops one day, and for the next 6 months, patrons had to sit on their hands while they got an "air dance".

We entered anyway, got the usual pat down and started to turn for the bar while our eyes adjusted. It took NO TIME before we were greeted by some familiar Cuban faces (and hands). We ordered some Modelos at the bar ($7/each), exchanged some awkward broken English pleasantries with our friends as we scanned the room for some optimal seating. As mentioned before, the room is just one rectangle box. When you enter, the DJ booth is immediately on your right, and the bar extends immediately on your left, almost to the far end of the room, where you find the hallway to the restrooms. facing the room from the entrance, there are 3 stages, surrounded by small tables and cheap banquet chairs. 1 wall (far left) has a few high top tables with bar stools, the rest of the wall space is lined with more chairs. The lap dance area is just a few more chairs in the corner nearest the DJ booth. They are all in view of the room, but apparently the seat closest to the popcorn machine is the most-coveted since the snack block the view of security...I hope.

Anyway, we grab an open high top against the wall, since they seem to have better privacy than the lap dance chairs. My buddy and I each grab a stool against the wall on either side of the table. We are more leaning back on our stools because we each have a girl who simply backs up into us and proceed to just perform standing grinds for a song or two as part of the regular sales pitch.
