Sad Night at the P
After a nearly 2 year hiatus, I return to Pandoras on a Friday night around 10 pm. I secure one of the last open parking spots, saving me from having to park across the street. I’m already aware as I pull in that there is no correlation between parking lot traffic at Pandoras and traffic inside. I approach the door. Security opens the door with no pat down.
Once inside, I hand the host my id. They scan, and ask when the last time I was there. I tell them a couple years ago. They start explaining how they now serve alcohol and go over the modifications to the layout. I already knew they served alcohol now, but didn’t care as I don’t drink. I pay 10$ entry. There is still no security pat down. I’m not sure if this is because I look nerdy or if this is the new standard practice. Honestly, I would prefer everyone to be checked. Nonetheless, I proceed to my seat.
The layout looks mostly the same to me. The cashier and DJ moved from one corner to the opposite corner. Everything else seems consistent from what I remember. Bartender in corner, lap dance area in back, VIP rooms on sides, 2 stages. The bartender approaches. I purchase $7 water to appease the 1 drink minimum and give the waitress a $1 tip. Very little money is thrown on stage just as I remember. There is no smoking, which I always appreciate from Seattle clubs. As a frequent visitor of South Florida clubs, it is nice to be able to go to a club without having to inhale cigarettes, weed, and hookah via second hand smoke all night.
