Eclipsed My Expectations

Was driving through Boise and stayed the night - decided to visit as many clubs in town as my stamina and wallet could handle.

First up was Eclipse. It's a little outside the main downtown area - it's next door to an adult video and novelty shop. I stopped in to shop - they had a nice video collection and peep show room - surprised to see that in Boise but the lady said they were grandfathered in. Head over to Eclipse and pay the $5 or $7, cover I forget. Old feller at the front desk/bar gave me a run down of rules that I immediately forgot.

Walk in and it's a relatively small area. Stage is straight ahead and takes up most of the room. Some tables and chairs to the left and a few on the far right wall. There's a bar that spans most of the right side, but this place is 18+ so no alcohol, just regular drinks. Dancers are all sitting at attention at bar seats, watching the girl on stage - it seemed they were lined up in the order they were going to go on stage or something. But it was strange and refreshing to see none of them on their phones, either making eye contact with customers or watching the stage dance. Further in the back of the club is where the lap dances/VIPs happen. The place is lit a little brighter than I would like.
