Players Has Improved

Players is one of the places in the area that has been around for a long time. It is in a mixed use area with some residential homes and other businesses on same street. It is a quiet and safe neighborhood. They have their own parking in front of the building. Inside you walk in and there is a DJ booth and right next to the DJ are the bathrooms. The men’s bathroom has two urinals and one toilet and was clean. There is a bouncer a DJ and a manager, 2 bartenders and about 8-9 dancers. They have a kitchen and the food appears good although I did not order food, several guys were eating and seemed to enjoy their meals. The bar is rectangular with a stage in the center and two poles. There are bar stools all around, but my big complaint is that they have no “bar”. By that I mean the actual bar that serves as a foot rest in traditional bars. So if you want to stand at bar there is no place to put your feet. In the rear there are two separate areas behind bead curtains. One is for lap dances and the other for VIP.

The bartenders are quick and attentive and I paid around $8 per beer on tap. They are very friendly and offer you a menu as soon as you sit down.

The dancers were alright. They were not super hot but a few of them were on the younger side and were mostly latinas. This is a huge improvement from the last time I reviewed this club. In the past most of the girls were past their prime. It seems they finally hired some younger talent. The girls will typically come over and ask to sit with you. On a scale from 1-10 most of these girls are 6-7. Then the bartender instantly would ask if I want to buy the girl a drink. Most of the interactions I witnessed was guys buying drinks for girls with very few people going for lap dances. I asked one girl what the rate was and she stated it is $25 per song. I did not get a dance on this occasion and did not inquire about VIP. It seems like a low mileage kind of place.

In conclusion the place is a fun place to get a beer or two and maybe even get a bite to eat. The girls are prettier than a year ago but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit. So it is a nice place if you happen to be in the neighborhood. I give it a thumbs up.
