High Hopes, Left Disappointed

I was in the area for a work trip and after a dinner with colleagues, I decided to stop by Cheerleaders on a late Wednesday night. The place felt safe on the outside, it's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Walk in and paid my $10 cover (after midnight) and I see the lap dance area straight ahead, and the main bar/stage off to the left. Being used to smaller NJ clubs, this stage and bar felt massive compared to NJ. About 75% of the seats at the bar were full, but I found a spot towards the very back (I believe close to the private rooms, which were just curtains). I grabbed a $7 beer and waited for a dollar parade....which never came.

There were probably about 15-20 dancers and definitely a good variety of white, black, and hispanic. Most were on the slim to slim-thick size, varying from 5-7 range. There was only 1 dancer at a time on the stage and since I was towards the back, it seemed very far from where the girl was dancing (the stage is very long). A few girls were sitting with people, but many were just sitting by themselves in the booths surrounding the stage. After she was done with her set, I waited for her to come around and grab her $1 but never did and went back to her regular. The next girl came up, finished her set and found her seat again (no parade walk). After the 3rd girl did the same, I decided to find a seat closer to the main pole after some people cleared out.

Still no dollar parade, but a cute-ish blonde British girl approached me and asked for dances. At this point, I was just bored so I obliged and we went back towards the entrance where the lap dance booths were. We get to the booth and it was mid-song so she said we would start once the song ended. The song ended, she had a very mediocre dance for $20 and I decided that's all I cared for. However, when we went out to pay, the bouncer asked for $40, I mentioned she started after the first song ended and we only did one dance. She never confirmed and I didn't feel like arguing so paid the $40 and walked out the door.
