Switching it up
Came in a little after 2pm a couple Saturdays ago. Has been a couple years since I have ventured into Christie's, but it remains the same. Walk into a little lobby and on the left there's an ID check and cover charge, I believe it was $10 after I tipped a couple bucks. Walked through the doors to the main area and the bar is on the left as you enter. 2 for 1 drinks so I order the old reliable, vodka and club soda. I believe that was $10 as well after I gave the bartender a tip. A large stage is probably about 30 feet straight ahead from the bar area with the bathroom off to the left as you head towards the stage. I went to the bathroom later, and it was overall fine, looks like it could use a little work, but not bad.
This place was dead when I walked in. I end up sitting on the other side of the stage, and as soon as I sat, the manager let me know that he had called in some additional dancers as the regular Saturday girls were not there.
The general layout of the club is nice, it's an open concept with couches setup behind me in the VIP area. I've always liked more of large chair setup, but to each their own. This club is definitely much brighter than Bourbon Street. Even the VIP area is very bright, so not the best.
