Baby Dolls compared.

Having read so many glowing reviews of Baby Dolls (BD), I had to experience it myself, so I drove up from Houston for a visit. Back in Houston, my go-to establishment is the St. James, a.k.a. "The Church" (TC). I didn't think any place could rival it for men's entertainment and I've been criticized on TUSCL for believing and claiming TC must be the best in the country. My verdict will come at the end. Don't jump ahead.

I arrived at BD in the late-afternoon on a Tuesday. There is ample free parking just beyond the entrance so don't fall for the valet service. I suppose if you need someone to hold on to your keys, the valet will be happy to oblige. Parking situation same as at TC. Both appear to be equally safe. I entered and paid a $5 cover (TC asks $10 during the day and $20 at night). Point goes to BD. You can leave BD and return at will, but get your hand stamped with a smiley face just for fun.

Upon entering, you can grab a beer for $6.75 from a large ice-filled tub (lowest beer cost at TC is $8.00 daytime). Based on initial costs, the score is BD = 2 TC = 0 halfway through the first quarter.
