Same old Vu
Deja Vu- "the Vu"- has been around for decades. Part of a national chain, it is a fairly "corporate" club. It is clean, the facilities are nice, a multi-level club with the main stage on the first level surrounded by tables and a main (non-alcoholic) bar.
There is a DJ who, in addition to playing the songs for the dancers, keeps a watchful eye on patrons and what their hands are doing. It's fairly annoying. Lap dances are still $20, and / but very much a "one-way" affair. You might get a decent grind from the right dancer, but very minimal mileage.
I return here every few years with the hope things might have "loosened up" a bit. A foolish hope, I know. I will say, in the 15-20 times I have been to Deja Vu, there have always been at least a few hot dancers, and usually a diverse bunch. To me, however, the whole deal always feels very "plastic", very sanitary. If you are unlucky enough to be there on the same night as a bachelor party, you'll bear witness to the ridiculous on-stage antics as the poor groom-to-be sits in a chair, hands to side, and gets assailed by a slew of silicon balloons in what I guess is supposed to be an erotic farewell to bachelorhood.
