Relaxed Sunday Afternoon Visit with Friendly Dancers
I stopped by The Border in Morrisville on a Sunday afternoon around 4pm while passing through the area. It was pretty quiet when I arrived with only about five or six other customers scattered around the bar area. The club itself is on the smaller side but it felt reasonably clean and comfortable. Lighting was dim like most clubs but still bright enough to see the stage and dancers clearly. Music was mostly hip-hop and rap played at a moderate volume so it was easy to talk without yelling. The overall atmosphere during the afternoon was relaxed and low pressure.
The stage setup was interesting and kept things entertaining even with the smaller crowd. There is a ring in the middle of the stage area and one of the dancers used it really well during her set. On the left and right sides of the bar there are also two separate poles. The dancers did a good job working both sides of the room so everyone got some attention. When one dancer finished her song the next dancer was already on deck and ready to go, so the stage rotation stayed steady.
When I arrived there were four dancers working. At first it was three white dancers and one black dancer, and later it rotated to two white and two black dancers. Overall they were pretty good looking and seemed comfortable working the room. During their stage sets they performed topless and put real effort into the performance, especially on the poles and stage features. Even though it wasn’t very busy they still kept up the energy and interacted with the customers.
