Dipping the Toes

Finally made a trip to Clancy’s after reading good things over the past year. Headed over late on a Saturday — around 11:30pm. Club is located in a safe suburban neighborhood in a non descript storefront. Honestly if you don’t know it’s there it’s easy to miss.

Recent snowstorms made parking more challenging than it normally would be but I found a spot outside the club after circling a couple of times. The bar was crowded when I walked in. I entered through the front door though believe there’s a rear entrance towards back of bar for those people who want more discretion.

Interior of the bar feels like a cross between any neighborhood dive and a strip club — wood bar, lots of tvs showing sports, tight confines but a whole lot of mirrors and moody red lighting. A small stage sits dead center of the bar. There’s always at least one girl working the stage but sometimes up to 3 or 4. I got a bud light for a very reasonable six dollars and was handed back a wad of singles with my change.
