I went to JJ’s Cabaret at 20:50 on a Friday night. The club is a metal building with a gravel parking lot. There was a $10 cover charge at the door. There is a small bar to the right as you enter. Sincweisers were $4. Import beers were $5. A can of soda was $2. No hard alcohol is served. The closest you can get are canned cocktails, which were the drink of choice for the dancers. There are two pool tables as you walk further into the room. Past them is a large rectangle main stage that is an island in the middle of the layout. It has a spinning pole in the middle. Along the far left wall is a lane for private dances behind a railing. The ‘private dance’ area has no privacy from the rest of the room. The lap dances are done on bingo hall chairs. The ATM has a maximum withdrawal of $200 and charges a $5 fee. The clientele is mostly African-American.

There were six dancers working on Friday night. Two were Caucasian and four were African-American. If you like dancers that can dominate a greasy bucket of KFC, then this is the club for you. Five of the six dancers were way above my weight parameters. There is absolutely no contact at the stage and dancers are not allowed to take off any clothing. This is a bikini club. The rules are strict in rural Mississippi. Most dancers had no clue how to use the pole, so the stage show leaned heavily towards floor work.
