I went to Escapes at 22:30 on a Tuesday night. There was no cover charge and only one other customer inside when I arrived. The party ratcheted up after midnight, and eventually there was a two to one ratio of customers to dancers. It seems Escapes gets going late. Sincweisers were $4. A soda with ice was $3. Jager Bombs were $12. A shot of Milagros was $10. If you buy a dancer a drink, you are charged $30 regardless of what it is. The club keeps half of the $30 and the dancer keeps the other half. This is a common racket in Pensacola strip clubs. I bought everyone at Escapes, both customers and staff, a round of drinks. I was able to convince the second-string bartender to charge me just the regular price for each drink, instead of $30 for each of the dancers’ drinks, since I would not be sitting and chatting with each entertainer I bought drinks for.

There is a two pole main stage on the left wall. A smaller auxiliary stage is in the middle of the room. The bar is along the right wall, and the bar is where most of the customers and dancers loitered. There is a lone pool table in the back right corner. Private dance booths and VIP rooms are located in the back wall. There is a smoking patio accessed through a door in the back left corner. There was no DJ on a Tuesday; the dancers picked out their music on a computer behind the bar. Most of the music played was hip hop. There were seven dancers working. Five were white and two were black. All of them were in their twenties. There was no stage rotation, and the stages were empty for most of the night. Dancers seemed to just dance on stage when they felt like it.

Dancers can make up their own private dance prices. I was quoted prices of $35 and $40 per song. Supposedly, the house only taxes the dancers $5 per private dance. Private dances are supposed to be one-way contact, or at least that is what I was told. However, two-way touching is allowed during the fifteen and thirty minute VIP rooms. Fifteen minute VIP rooms are $150, and thirty minute champagne rooms are $300. From what I was told, thirty minutes includes champagne or two drinks. All private dances and rooms are prepaid at the bar. The blocks of time are done in booths with a couch. The booths have curtains between them and the hallway, offering a fair amount of privacy. I did not see any cameras in the ceiling. I bought a fifteen minute VIP room with Tatiana. She was a slim twenty-two year old with dark brown hair and blue eyes. She had A cups, and I would grade her out at a 7. Unfortunately, she spent more time interviewing me than grinding on my hog, so I would probably not repeat with her.
