Fantastic First Visit

The bar is located in what appears to be a Brazilian / South American community shopping center. As such, I noticed nearly all of the girls and customers in Porthole were black. I only mention this because as a first time visitor I had assumed PH would be dominated by Cuban girls like the other establishments in the area, but it’s not. It’s essentially a black club. That said, as a white guy I never felt unwelcome or uncomfortable in any way.

My first visit was around 4:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. No cover. It’s very dark inside which I consider a good sign. After my eyes adjusted I saw 4 customers and about as many girls around the bar. I found a seat next to an older black lady and she quickly informed me that anything was available in the back. She offered a bbbj for $100, but she wasn’t what I was looking for so decided to wait.
