Player’s Club= Worst Value club I’ve been to

I was visiting from out of town. Last time I was in LA, I exchanged contact info with a dancer at Rio’s. I gave her a heads up I would be in town. She said she was going to try out a different club, it’s called Player’s Club. I decided to check it out. Player’s Club is in downtown LA.

I arrived at Player’s Club at around 12:30am on Friday. According to their Instagram page, they are closed Monday through Thursday, open Friday through Sunday 8pm-2am. It’s an alcohol club, so the girls here were topless instead of nude, and it closed at 2am instead of 4am closing like the non-alcohol clubs. The non alcohol clubs have higher cover charges $20-$30. I was expecting the cover charge here to be maybe $10. No, the cover charge was $25.

I walked in the club, there was a lot going on. Girls everywhere, lots of customers. When you walk in, the stage is to the left, the bar is to the right. There is one long stage that connects two sections so they do two girl stage sets, one girl on one section, the other girl on the other section. A few customers were standing up making it rain on stage, it’s one of those type of clubs, no one was actually sitting down enjoying the stageshow. Music was all hip hop. I went to the bar to order a rum and coke, it was 20 bucks, WTF! The most I’ve ever paid for a rum and coke before this was 11 bucks. I also requested 60 dollars in ones, they said I needed at least 100 dollars to get ones, not a good sign.
