Old Glory Daze - No Glory, but enough satisfaction

I haven’t been to Akron for a year or so and the strip club/dive bar scene has changed since then. Due to the fire at the G Spot, dancers had to find new places to work. This caused a domino effect, with some clubs not wanting to hire old G Spot dancers, and some dancers at other clubs not wanting to dance with the dancers from the old G Spot. Thus, a general shuffling of dancers. Dance prices have gone up too; bar side dances seem to be $10 rather than the $5 previously, and the VIP, while still nominally $25, many dancers ask for $30 or more depending on the dancer and what you negotiate with her.

I always had luck at OGD with respect to tolerable dancers who provide high mileage dances, so that was my first stop. OGD is a dive bar in the truest sense of the word. It is in a rundown building in a part of Akron that has seen better days. You enter the club from the parking lot - watch your step. The men’s room is just off the entrance and to call it disgusting is a compliment. Go before you go.

There is a bar with about a dozen chairs. In addition to the bar, there are small high top tables with stools, and a juke box. There is a pool table as well. There are two VIP rooms. One, which you want to avoid if possible, is small and in the corner. Privacy is provided by a curtain When I say tiny, there is enough room for you and the dancer, but not a lot of room left to move around or do much else. Still, a good time can be had. A second VIP room is essentially a larger storage room with a small dilapidated sofa, but there is more than enough room for you both to manuever. There is a solid, locking door. The bartender keeps track of who goes back there and doesn’t let anyone go in when it is occupied.
