Worth

It was New Year's Eve Day and since I prefer to spend NYE quietly at home (I'm old now and would prefer to avoid big celebrating crowds) I thought I'd check out the day shift at Hank's. Figuring I wasn't the only PL with this point of view, I thought I had a decent chance of having at least a semi-interesting time.

I pulled into the pothole collection and was not extremely surprised to see very few cars. Undeterred, I sauntered into the building and paid the $5 cover. There were three other guys there.

I sat at the bar and asked for a bottle of water, which will set you back $10. I looked around to count dancers and saw a mere six of them, primarily African Americans. The dancer who was doing a set on the small stage attached to the bar was a plus-sized AA gal, whose name I did not catch.
