No diamonds at fine diamonds.
I visited Fine Diamonds Gentlemen's Club in Morgantown, WV, on a weeknight, arriving around 1 AM. The club is supposed to be open late (they advertise hours starting around 7-8 PM on the days they operate, usually Thursday through Saturday), so I expected it to still be going strong, but the place felt completely lifeless. It's located off Point Marion Road, hidden behind some storage units, which makes it tricky to spot at night even with the signage. Inside, the layout is straightforward—a main stage with seating around it, a bar area, and not much else. Lighting was very dim, leaning more toward drab than seductive, and cleanliness was average at best: no obvious messes, but nothing felt fresh or well-maintained. The DJ was playing a mix of hip-hop and top-40 at a moderate volume, but with hardly anyone there, the music just echoed and failed to build any atmosphere. Overall, the vibe was flat and sleepy; it didn't feel unsafe or sketchy, just empty and disappointing.
There were only about five women in the entire club while I was there, and honestly, I couldn't tell how many were actually dancers versus customers or friends hanging out. None of them stood out appearance-wise—average looks at best, no real variety in body types or energy. The few who did go on stage kept things extremely conservative; outfits covered a lot, and there was minimal nudity even though this is advertised as a full-nude club. I approached one woman to ask about a private dance, and she told me straight up that she doesn't do lap dances, which left me confused about what the point of the place even is. If private dances aren't reliably available, it's hard to see the draw beyond just sitting at the bar. Staff presence was minimal—the bartender was there but not particularly welcoming or attentive, and I didn't see any waitresses or bouncers actively working the floor. No one was rude, but no one made an effort to engage either. The customer crowd was tiny, just a couples of quiet locals nursing drinks—nothing rowdy, no “thug factor,” just low energy all around.
Prices were reasonable on paper but felt like a waste given how little was happening. Cover charge was $10 at the door, which is pretty standard for the area. Beers ran about $8-10 each, nothing excessively marked up, though I only had a couple since there wasn't much reason to stick around. I never got to the point of asking about dance or VIP pricing because lap dances clearly weren't on the table that night (at least not with the person I spoke to). No food menu or specials were visible.
For any business traveler rolling through Morgantown with just one night and limited options for adult entertainment, I'd strongly suggest skipping Fine Diamonds. With only a handful of women present (and uncertainty about who was actually working), conservative stage shows, and at least one outright refusal for a lap dance, this place didn't deliver even basic expectations for a strip club. It felt more like a dimly lit bar that occasionally has a stage than a proper gentlemen's club. Save your cover and drink money for somewhere else—or just call it a night early. Definitely not worth the detour.
