Low Pressure, Better Setup, Worth the Visit
Visited for the first time since it switched from Deja Vu and had a genuinely great night. The vibe is different, in a good way. Free parking in the well-lit lot was a huge upgrade from the old paid setup that pushed everyone onto the sketchy street. Cover is $20, but when I mentioned the free admission deal from the website they waived it and just asked me to buy a drink. All drinks are $10 and non-alcoholic only.
I arrived right at opening and there were already a few dancers hanging out by the entrance. After sitting down, they rotated over to chat, and the first one who really caught my eye took me back for a private dance. She was very upfront about what was on the table, which I appreciated, even though I just stuck to the dance. Management clearly lets the dancers run their own show. One thing I was very happy to see gone was security guards pacing through the private areas like in the Deja Vu days. There is actual privacy now, though cameras are obviously still everywhere.
The payment system has changed too. Instead of the old booth kiosks, you pay the bartender before heading back, and when time is up they announce it over the PA. It felt odd at first but the timing was fair and it did not end up bothering me at all.
