Wednesday Afternoon in Hollywood

My last review was a "meandering novel," a fair enough criticism; this one will focus on one visit starting around 3:30 on a Wednesday about a week and a half ago. Unfortunately, it will still be a meandering novel.

I think this place is cute. Not sure the history of the building, but the outside looks very un-strip-club-like, until you realize all the windows are blacked out. Lots of parking all the way around; I only show up in the afternoon and I always have my choice. I tend to choose directly behind the building, because it's a little bit close to home for my comfort.

I've never been here late enough to be hit with a cover charge. The gal you pay for VIP dances (sometimes it's a dude) usually sets up at a table to the right of the entrance, and I imagine there might be some kind of bouncer set-up there at night. Club is dominated by a single round stage with a rotating pole and chairs sitting around it. They're just kind of normal chairs, and somehow that combined with the symmetry of the setup reminds me of an AA meeting or a restorative justice circle or some other such nonsense. PLs Anonymous.
