An angel in the most unusual club I've ever been to
I was in Bucharest, wanting to see what I might find there, and I read about Lucky Love. I'll be writing this from the perspective of someone who frequents American strip clubs, and has no experience with clubs overseas.
Lucky Love is a whole different type of establishment, even from the other clubs in Bucharest, as far as I could discern. It's in a small, multi-story space that New Yorkers would see as a miniature Flatiron-type building, one that comes to a triangular point because of the way the angles of the streets come together.
The street is quiet but not dangerous feeling. In a bit of a speakeasy touch, you press an intercom button, someone takes a look at you through a camera, and then unlocks the door remotely. You're immediately faced with a half-flight of stairs up, and someone is usually standing at the top of the stairs to greet you and show you in. The first night I went it was both a bouncer/bartender and a friendly girl in lingerie.
