I haven't been to a Virginia strip club in a few years - pasties/attitude/etc. Richmond has very few but excellent cocktail bars. After a couple of drinks at the Jasper, I decided to venture to the Papermoon. The neighborhood has exploded in the past few years and the club which used to be in a dingy part of town is right next to a tall apartment building and restaurants. Sadly, even thought the neighborhood is gentrified, the club maintains its vintage ambience.

The club did not feel any different than the last time I had been here. Same stage/bar/DJ setup. There were less than 10 customers and maybe 6-7 dancers. After the $15 cover, I paid $10 for a beer + tip - the irony here was that I was drinking crap beer right next to a dozen craft breweries (Legend, Ardent, Veil, etc.)

One of the dancers showed up - a 5-6 and started with the standard line of questioning. I tried to glean why the club was so dead at 10pm? She replied that it had been slow since the summer - the 7-10 people were typical on a Friday night. She attributed it inflation and buying power. She went on to do her set and I walked around the club.
