Slow, dive-adjacent club with mediocre but friendly dancers and expensive dances
I visited DV8 on a Monday evening about 10pm, after a fifteen minute ride from my airport hotel. There was nobody at the door, so no pat down, ID check, or cover charge. There was a small area with video slots, a pool table, and then the main bar area. That consisted of a smallish stage, a bar with a half dozen seats, and a wall bench with tables. They also had a fireplace, which was nice. The club decor was standard strip club, with red and chrome. The lighting was dim, which I think was good given the wear on floor and furniture. A can (not bottle) of water at the bar was $4.
The club was very slow. There were only a couple of other customers there, and a handful or so of dancers. About what I expected for a Monday evening, I guess. The dancers were mid, as I think the kids used to say. Nothing to turn heads, but nothing too depressing either. One California Latina was a bit heavy. There was one slender dancer dressed in a sort of slutty nun costume. There were two older black dancers, one darker, fit, and with big boobs, the other a bit paler and hailing from the UK, with a delightful smile and accent. The dancers were all friendly and chatty, eventually working their way around to asking about dances. None were pushy.
The stage show was continuous despite the small number of customers. Dancers went up for two songs, got topless fairly quickly and ended up nude by the end (or beforehand, depending on the dancer). Stage tipping got some up-close attention, but there wasn't any physical interaction at the stage. I found the performances entertaining but not engrossing.
