A relatively good time at the relatively good good guys

I’ve been a regular at Good Guys for a couple of years at this point. It’s got its good and bad qualities, but like it for what it is, a more or less chill watering (kinda pricey) bar with full nude dancers during the daytime and on weeknights, a bit crowded and chaotic during the weekends.

The space itself is pretty narrow -mostly a bar, three stages, and some chairs and tables crowded together- which can make it a little awkward when it’s crowded but also keeps it intimate. The music is the usual mix of hip hop and Latin, sometimes with something surprising like an Alice In Chains or Cure song to mix things up. Burger special with a miller lite on Mondays is a good deal at $11. Otherwise, drinks run between like $15-20. The neighborhood is pretty hilariously upper middle class. Apparently the club has been around since the 60s.

The dancers run the gamut. Not everyone is my type, but they all seem like someone’s and there’s usually someone I’m into working. Most are relatively friendly, though some people seem put off by dancers being aggressive asking for tips after dances and a few can be a little rude/unartful when pushing for private shows (had one chat me up while it was empty and then literally turn her back on me mid-conversation when I said that I just wanted to chill. I get you’re there to make a buck but…) The ethnic mix is maybe 40% white, 10% black, 45% Latina and 5% Asian. Favorite dancers include Santana, Barbie, Cat, Kyoko, and Scarlett.
