Th' Katch is the cleanest and best-kept in Knoxville and the only club in town with afternoon hours. No outside alcohol allowed, but you can buy beer, wine coolers & soft drinks in the "Blue Room" next door. No hard liquor allowed. Prices are not too unreasonable. Club is somewhat dark, with one, T-shaped stage in the center of the room surrounded by small, round tables. My guess is they can seat 100 or so patrons comfortably. There is also a raised seating area away from the stage, but still with a good view. There are three small sofas along one wall available for couch dances. Not much privacy, but most don't appear to let it bother them, especially the regulars. Can get a little crowded on Friday and Saturday night, but usually less than half full other nights. Afternoons are a different crowd, with usually less than 15 patrons at any given time. Music tends to be a little on the loud side, but not ear-splitting, and the DJs generally do a decent job with not too much distracting chatter.

As for the dancers, your mileage will vary, depending on the girl and how recognizable you are and whether or not you visit on a regular basis. Regulars get better dances than infrequent or one-time visitors. Most dancers will allow a little touching, especially after a couple of dances, but a few won't come within six inches of you ever. I'd say the average dancer is a 7-8 in the looks department, with a low of 5 and a high of 9. Dancer ethnicity is mixed, but mostly white. Plenty of attention from the girls, but the hustle factor is not too bad, and most will take "no" for an answer without being offended. As with any club, don't sit on your wallet. At least tip at the rail. You'll enjoy it more. All in all, a good place to visit and enjoy an afternoon or an evening.
