Took a Risk on this Risque and It Was a Solid Night

Bristol is close to where I-95, I-276, and Rte 1 intersect to the northeast of Philadelphia. I enjoy Club Risque Philadelphia, so thought I’d give this sister club a try. One thing that is much better is that this club does not allow smoking.

The exterior of the club is a square, nondescript building with free parking. Cover was $15, there was a metal detector. The bathroom (immediate left upon entering) is serviceable, but not nice enough for the personality-less attendant trolling for dollars inside. Large rectangular bar with two small poled stages inside. The poles aren’t high enough for any real acrobatics, and they didn’t look like they spun. Part of the room has tables, but most of the 15-or-so PLs sat at the bar. Couch dances in a beaded-off private area to the right front, entry to the VIP area through a door to the back left. My Yuengling bottle was $7. DJ playing decent music.

The dancers enter the stage area via a circular staircase, and it was kind of fun waiting to see who would descend next - a little anticipation. Dancers would do two dances - first usually clothed and second usually topless - then walk around the inside of the bar for tips. A mix of mostly white, a few latina, and a few black dancers, all American-born without the infusion of “Ukrainian” or Cuban dancers that are becoming so common, in all shapes and sizes. On a Saturday night I was expecting the club’s A Team, but the lineup was B grade. The dancers were friendly and filled with personality and I enjoyed talking to all of them.
