I went to Cabaret Bar 55 at 19:30 on a Friday night. This strip club has not been reviewed in over twenty years, so I was not even sure it was still open. You have to drive down switchbacks on the side of a hill to get to the club. The club is at the bottom of a valley next to Ruisseau Vigneault; you can go fishing from the parking lot. There was no cover charge to get in. Upon entering, there is a bar on the left with ten stools. There is a stage with five poles on it straight ahead and slightly off to the right. Private dance booths with curtains over their openings are spread throughout the building. The bartender was an older lady that looked like the pornstar Deauxma. Sincweisers were $9 for one bottle or $17 for two bottles. I got $3 in change from paying for two beers with a $20 bill. Almost as quickly as the bartender put it on the bar in front of me, she recollected it as a tip. I got the vibe that everyone here was hard up for money.

The line-up was rough. When dancers get too old or get too fat to work anywhere else, they end up at Bar Cinquante-cinc. If you like bad teeth, baby damage, and fading tattoos, this is your place. There were four dancers: two white dancers, one black dancer, and one Asian dancer. Dancers do not seem to dance on the stage. All of them just sat at the bar drinking and vaping.

Because there is such a lack of information on this place, I decided to take one for the team and see what the private dances were like. I took the least ugly dancer back to a booth for a couple songs. She was a little larger than I normally prefer, but she had huge fake tits. Private dances are $20 per song. The booths are small and somewhat narrow. There is a bench inside and a curtain over the doorway. There were no cameras. I found out pretty quick lap dances are an afterthought here. The dancer was pulling out my thrill drill on the first song. She quoted me a ridiculous price that was about three or four times the going rate for a particular service. I guess she thought I was born yesterday. I told her ‘no’. She got verbally and physically violent with me. I don't think this club gets too many customers, so when someone actually stops by, they try to rip them off.
