A sad experience.

Went to Cheetah at about 10:00 on a Thursday evening. I was in town for a few days and had not been to the club in maybe 8 or 10 years. There were a lot of cars in the parking lot. Cover was $15. The hostess was pleasant enough and I tipped her a couple of bucks.

I sat at the bar. There were about 6 or 8 guys in the room, only two of whom were sitting with a girl. There rest generally looked pretty bored, watching the Cowboys/Eagles football game on the TVs over the bar. There were maybe 10-15 dancers in the place, mostly sitting alone or in pairs, many on their phones. Most were white with a few AAs. The woman behind the bar was named Mini. She was attractive, pleasant and helpful, steering me away from a local beer. So I had a $6 Coors Light and tipped her a couple of bucks. The layout is okay, one large room with a stage at one side and a small sort of cage-like stage near the bar and a bunch a semi-private booths/rooms off an adjoining hall.

The bartender and the one waitress were most attractive women in the place. Wilmington being a southern beach town with a large UNC campus, I would have expected there to be a collection of attractive young and slender dancers. Instead, the dancers were a sad collection of mostly very large, very wide-assed and big-bellied women, ranging from about a 1 to maybe a 3 on a scale of 1-10. They were fugly, the absolutely least attractive collection of dancers I have ever seen, and I have been to well over a hundred clubs all over the country over the past 25 years or so.
