The More Things Change...

Hadn't been here in awhile, and I needed an inexpensive place to hang for a couple hours, so I stopped by Christies. Plenty of parking out front, walk in through the double doors, greeted by a door girl. Guy ahead of me paid $7 entry fee, I have CC VIP card, so my entry is always comped (thank you, remodeled 32nd St Christies!). As you walk in, the stage gets your immediate attention, very large semi-circle with one pole and one dancer. Bar, with 7-8 high top chairs to the left. Everything else are tables scattered throughout the spacious club. Found one near the back wall directly in front of the stage. Waitress immediately comes over, order a $6 Coke, served in a stem glass.

I was actually here on opening night about 25 years ago (during a Spring Training visit). They paraded about 60 girls out that night, with maybe--MAYBE--one of them larger than a B-cup. As Led Zeppelin used to sing, The Song Remains the Same. Here's the line-up while I was there (late afternoon):

Lindsay: tall, slender, long blonde hair, A-cups. She tried her best to grind the PL next to me into oblivion, despite the chairs being the worst possible place to get a lap. Points for effort.
