I love this bar, it's my kind of place!

Went in on a Friday afternoon. It has been ridiculously warm here in KY, and I thought spending an afternoon in the dark and cool of Cowboys would be a good way to spend a couple hundred bucks. Looking at naked girls is always a good use of time....

The club hasn't changed much in the last 5 years or so. If you arrive between lunch and 5 PM, there normally is no cover. There is one large stage in the center of the bar, with room for two or maybe three dancers. In the early afternoon, there was no one on stage, but they would send up a dancer every two or three songs for a two song set. Most kept their outfits on, but occasionally they would drop their tops and show some boobs. Can't blame them, as the club was fairly empty, and there wasn't much of a crowd to dance to. The few customers in the club were attended to by dancers. There are lots of TVs in the bar, all with some sort of sports (golf, ESPN, horse racing, et-cetera) There are two bars, one on the right as you enter, and one towards the back between the bathroom and the dancers locker room. They have a 'couch' room with a few couches directly behind the DJ booth, and three or four 'private' rooms for VIP dances. I think the last room in the little hallway may be the only one without a camera, but I am not sure, as I haven't been in this one. This is the basic layout of the club. There are about 30 tables, each with a few comfortable chairs in the club, one or two booths adjacent to the bar and seating for about 15 at the bar.

They do ask that you purchase a drink or two, so not completely free, but mostly free. There was no bouncer at the door, just walked in, and slowly made my way to a table. After coming in from the bright outside, you will not be able to see anything for a minute or two, so take your time finding a seat. After I sat down, I waited about 5 min and the waitress made her way to my table. I ordered a beer (about $6) and waited while she brought it. While I was waiting, I noticed that the club didn't have more than two or three custies, and 5 to 7 dancers this afternoon. With the weather being so warm outside, I was surprised that there were not more people in the bar. I asked about this, and one of the ladies said that they had been slow since some of the schools in the area were back in session. I thought this was a bit odd, but perhaps she is correct. By the time my drink arrived, one of the dancers had joined me. The waitress asked if I would buy the dancer a drink and I agreed to do so. It was about $7 and she was attractive, and could hold a conversation, so well spent. I know that this club used to require a dancer to sell 5 or 8 drinks a shift, and I have always attempted to assist with them getting their quota. I consider it the cost of doing business.
