$75 VIP in NYC? Ya Gotta Be Kiddin' Me

My NYC club crawl came to a close with Show Palace. I entered just before midnight on a Tuesday night - people say the show really gets going after midnight so I timed it to test this assertion.

The place is a short-ish walk from the Queensborough Plaza. After Gallaghers, I headed here and was greeted outside the club (had that velvet rope to appear more club-like) by a nice, funny tall guy with an Eastern European accent. He welcomed me to the club and told me the rules, pricing, etc. - before midnight, they have 15 min VIPs for $75 (normally $100) and 30 min for $150 (normally $200). I had my printed out free admission pass to show them (they actually make you say which day you're going to arrive and it doesn't work after midnight) to save on I think it was a $20 or $25 cover.

I make way through the lobby and into the club and it's very spacious. High ceilings and the decor is on point - this is a real deal strip club experience. They have those cute Instagram-ish quotes on the walls and the color and style is pretty cool. Chairs and tables are nice and there is a lot of area to work in. It could be organized a little better as there is a lot of fumbling/zig-zagging through chairs to get from one end to the other, but it's all good. I think this is 18+ since they don't serve alcohol and dancers can get full nude on stage. There were about 15-20 customers in here, on the younger side and in groups with a couple of awkward loners.
