Not bad for a Wednesday ($300 spent)

Another boring conference, anoth chance to check out the Denver club scene. It was my last night in town and I was getting antsy so I looked up clubs. Shotgun Willie's had good reviews but was 30 minutes away. Platinum 84 was much closer and seemed promising. Large, well lit parking lot. No security outside.

Gave their website my email address for a free pass into the club (cover usually $10 at 11 pm) which the doorman took without a smile. After an ID scan and a pat down I was in. The bar is right in front, with hostesses in black corsets and cheeky bottoms. There is one pole by the bar with its own stage and a second larger long stage with two poles. On this Wednesday night at 11 pm all three poles had dancers. There were probably 14 girls at that time that night which was down to 8 or 10 by 1 am. It was amateur night but these girls sure didn't seem like amateurs. The bathroom was clean and there was not an attendant awkwarely arranging a stack of paper towels while giving me the "tip me" side eye.

I sat at the bar and had to get a girls attention. She gave me singles and some sort of juice concoction when I asked for something non-alcoholic. No dancers approached me immediately at the bar, which I prefer. The club had probably 25 customers that night. There were two friend groups in private booths, a giggly bachelorette party, several couples and then the rest were dudes on their own like yours truly.
