Not a Fine Line. Too Murky for my tastes
Middle of nowhere strip clubs used to be a wonderful thing in Massachusetts. They blended into their communities to skirt the line between neighborhood semi-dive to full on adult entertainment. The Fine Line, unfortunately, is not so fine-and, at least, to me, is a disappointment that is at odds with this former tradition.
YMMV and caveat: I was there on a Saturday night. Someone once said that amateurs only go to restaurants on Saturday nights. I wonder if that logic applies to strip clubs. So, take this review with a grain of that salt.
I came in around 9:30PM on a Saturday night. There was a $20 cover and metal detector. The opening of the doors were impressive. They have also have an impressive open room setup with a main stage and two smaller ones. The bar was very full. The women were mainly Latin and Black. A soda cost me $8 with tip. Cocktails and hard liquor run $20-$25 with a tip. There is a kitchen-and indeed, the menu is advertised on a big TV screen. But....the kitchen does not stay open all night-and closes at 9PM. That's restaurant timing...Not strip club timing. At least the bartenders were nice about it. That was a problem-they had two bartenders working a full bar
The women were generally a good bunch. A couple were a little too boisterously drunk for me. One of them also just kind of abandoned me after we went to the bar. The staff I dealt with were professional. The chairs are also comfortable, if not a little low to the ground. But also a little crowded, sometimes it's hard to find a spot or navigate.
Some of the prices are steep. $30/song for a lap dance is reasonable. But starting the VIP's at $250 for 15 minutes....is a little much-the equivalent of $1000/hour. Be very aware of the ATM. It charges a 10% fee for large transactions. So if you ask for $200, it's a $20 fee....pllus bank fees....It's a little much, especially when it says a $10 fee. Not good.
