Not Worth The Door, Terrible Line Up

My friend always raves about how great this place is and maybe I came on the wrong day, but live in El Cerrito not too far away and decided to drop by here on the way home. Cover was 10 dollars and the nice door guy told me to take advantage of the get in free special next time which you can cash in on their website. Took my drink receipt and walked into a club that was practically empty, with nobody on stage. I understand summer is a bad time for clubs but this was downright sad. Took a seat at the bar which is right across from the stage and ordered an 8 dollar soft drink before being approached by an ok looking brunette with sizable C cups and decent body who offered me a 15 minute VIP for $140.00 + an extra $400.00 for anything goes?!! My jaw nearly dropped as that is absolutely insane. I declined and she told me to enjoy my little drink in a snarky tone. But not before the waitress asked me if I wanted to “buy the girl a drink” in what was an awkward exchange. Outside of the doorman the people at this place have little to no tact, it’s quite embarrassing.

I scanned the club and the few dancers that were there were either on their phones or chatting it up with the old Asian man crowd. I saw a fairly thick Latina girl who was by far the best looking one on this day but she was too busy meddling with an older Chinese guy for what seemed to be 20 minutes. There were some white girls and another Asian girl but nobody I would spend any money on or even comeback for. How is this place surviving? I suppose I’ll try the night shift where they have better looking dancers and greater variety and if that fails I’ll try somewhere else. I will say that during the hour I was there the dancers were occupying the stage, but it’s sad to see practically nobody tipping or even any patrons at the stage. Not a fun place to visit. Walked out empty handed and headed to the dive bar down the street. Had more fun there.
