If it Ain't Broke...
Once while there’s that urge to try something new. Initially I got off I-5 north, went over the hill, around the bend to Lakecity Way. Went past Pandora’s and hit up Dick’s Drive-in for lunch. Seems like this part of the area has cleaned up a little but there’s still a lots of closed up/boarded up buildings, colorful graffiti murals, the occasional blue tarps… lots of people walking around midday mid-week.
I actually went a little further north and pulled into the parking lot of a different club. I have never seen this empty. Reminded me of what movie theaters and malls look like during the pandemic. Walked in and before paying the cover charge, I was given a very brief list of names. I thought I recognize a vehicle in the parking lot, but maybe somebody else has a similar ride. If I would’ve known someone I might’ve stayed, but this was outright depressing. I declined to enter and went back to my car.
All that to give you a snapshot of the Puget Sound scene. It’s improved but its not back.
