Usually an enjoyable afternoon
I have been to DC a number of times, almost always in the afternoon. The space is really cool, I believe it used to be a bank, probably from the first half of 20th century. The main entrance feels a bit conspicuous in terms of what downtown denizens might see you walk in, but, once inside, the vibe is very comfortable.
A walk through a spacious entrance area leads to the main room. Up a couple steps, on your left, is a bar with about 10 stools and a few cocktail tables and chairs. Straight ahead is the main stage, the DJ booth elevated and to the right of the stage. The room is appropriately dim, with low tables and chairs spread about. There are private dance booths to the left of the main room and a smaller stage behind the main seating area. There is also a VIP room behind the main stage, but, I have not partaken.
In terms of cost, domestic bottles of beer are reasonably priced under $10; I do not know what cocktails cost. Lapdances in the main area are $20 and ymmv in terms of mileage. I always hope to find a dancer I like and go to the private booths- 3 songs and 2 drinks for $150. I also always tip the dancer, usually $50, but, the amount depends upon the, umm, quality of the dance.
While I have enjoyed dances with a number of the DC crew, this review is about time spent with a dancer named Rio. A slim brunette with, maybe, an Asian / Latina look, Rio was fairly kind in the VIP area. We began with some small talk in the main room, then moved into to a private booths. I always enjoy the time before the dances begin as drink orders are taken and the dancers slinks in close. Rio was chatty & friendly and mileage was fairly high once the dances started. She removed her top and my hands were free to roam all over. Nice.
Honestly, in my experience, this experience was pretty standard fare for this place. I cannot speak to the evening shift as my experience is very limited in that regard but, during the day, I have found DC to be a clean, safe space with an array of dancers, usually at least one of whom captures my interest. At worst, an afternoon visit to DC will find me looking, waiting, and leaving either because of very few dancers working or none that I want to engage with; more often, however, there are a few slim and slinky girls who make a $150+tip trip to a private booth well worth the time and money.
