How to Avoid The Drink Hustle in Vegas
Vegas is getting too expensive for me but I had a run of good luck playing Blackjack at Circa so I decided to treat my buddy and myself to a great meal at my fave Italian restaurant (Chicago Joe's in the Arts District) and then a strip club visit. My last few Vegas strip club visits were ruined by the few attitude that everything you do has to involve you purchasing more alcohol than you can possibly drink. Every time I asked how much a private dance was, the answer involved buying a crate of bourbon.
Because of that, I wasn't going to go to any strip clubs this trip but then I came up with an idea. All nude clubs! Except for the Palomino, they don't serve booze so they can't keep trying to sell me enough to make a new Great Lake. We picked Little Darlings because it wasn't that far from where we were and though I'd had a bad time there many years ago, I'd heard good things about it lately.
I think they open at 8. We got there around 9:45 and paid $35 admission. There's a one drink minimum and we placed orders with a waitress but somehow, she never brought them and we never paid for them. I'm not sure how much lap dances are because we asked every dancer who stopped at our table and they gave us all sorts of prices but most focused on fifteen minutes for $300. One dancer told me that if I did that deal with her, by ten minutes in, I'd be upgrading to a full hour. I passed on her because of too many tats.
