Not as good as I remembered from a couple years ago

First time back to Club 205 in several years. I've taken a long hiatus from the club scene, so I was really looking forward to the hot dancers I remembered from 205 in the past. When I showed up around noon on a Friday I found the parking lot about 80% full, and with road construction in front I was glad to find a parking spot because street parking would have been limited. (on an unrelated note, the old Venue Club across the street was under serious demolition with only one exterior wall remaining; I think they're replacing it with a Chick-fil-A). When I walked in, everything seemed exactly how I remembered it from a few years ago, though the lighting was really dim so it was very hard to see the room until my eyes adjusted. The bartender was prompt with asking what I wanted and cheerful. Only one of the two stages was active, and I took a seat at a hightop table in the back near the PD dance booths. The same DJ was there, and I think he's been the DJ for over 15 years. I was a little disappointed with the first dancer as she was a bit heavier than I expected for a Club 205 dancer I remembered from past visits. The next dancer was a bit thinner, but still not the hotness I had come to expect. While sitting there waiting for a better looking dancer to show up on stage, I happened to notice the sheer curtains on the PD dance area permitted a preview of the lapdance experience. The dancer was doing a really nice grind in his lap and his hands were all over her ass and back. It looked like it would have felt pretty good. But after watching 4 different dancers on stage without a single hot spinner (my preferred type), I decided this was not the old Club 205 experience I was hoping for and headed out. Maybe I'll come back on an evening to see if it's better, but I was a bit disappointed.
