Return to the Outer Limits

Friday evening, after an event at the Wells Fargo Arena, I ventured to the Outer Limits for the first time in awhile. Arrived about 10:30 pm to a pretty full parking lot.

The Outer Limits is on the outskirts of DSM, almost Ankeny (some would say the outer limits of the city... eh? eh? get it? Sigh.) and looks like a pretty average bar from the street. Parking lot is mostly paved but some gravel towards the back, and decently well lit. It is not overly bright, but enough you can see your vehicle and around you. There's a fence around the perimeter but just chain link.

Upon entering there is a stand with a bouncer/doorman who checks an ID (no scan) and collects $10 after 6 pm. There is a long bar along the left hand side of the building with one or two barkeepers behind it. There's a one drink minimum; I get water because I have a drive and it costs me $3 a bottle plus a tip to keep the bar lady happy. Beers seemed to be $5 or $6 and I did not hear mixed drink prices.
