Strike two

Was in the area and needed a beer so I decided to give this place another shot. My experience was slightly worse then last time.

The rundown. 5th Ave is located in a relatively safe industrial/neighborhood mix in Paterson. It's easy to get to and parking was up on the sidewalk across the street, and was easy to find. Cross the street and into the bar it's not bad. Reminds me of the old Hard Grove Cafe in Jersey City. It has a tropical feel inside. Enter into a long bar on your right, stage all the way in the back and bathrooms on the left.

The bartender was cute and I ordered a Coors lite for $5. There only seemed to be about 4-5 girls working. There was no dancing and no tip parade. A really pretty Brazilian girl in her 20s was talking to another customer so I had hope...but it was not meant to be. An older woman sat next to me and asked me to buy her a drink. I obliged and talked with her for a few minutes...she was not my scene. She got the drift and moved on. I had another beer and waited for the cute one to free up but she was occupied going for a dance in the "bathroom" with the other customer. I cut my losses and moved on. I really want to like this place because the vibe ain't bad, but not having any luck. Spent around $20 and dipped.
