Under Construction

Visited Vivid around 7 PM and paid the full $17 cover charge—which is currently the highest in town for what you get (which isn’t much). For comparison, even Men’s Club charges only $15, and you get top-tier dancers in the Galleria area.

I decided to give Vivid another shot after about a seven-month break, but right from the entrance, I could tell it wasn’t going to be a great experience. The bar appeared to be completely under renovation and was shut down. All the aquariums were gone, and the dance area was also under construction. While the renovations might eventually make the place look and feel more modern, I’d recommend avoiding it until the work is finished.

The back bar—normally a VIP area—was open to everyone, so I grabbed a seat there. Ordered a Tito’s and soda (I think it was $10, but I’m not certain). The main stage was still in use, but with all the construction happening nearby, there was a strong smell of sawdust and the constant noise of work crews trying to wrap things up.
