Mediocre club, low pressure, pretty good dances

Oasis was a short, easy drive from my airport-area hotel. It's on a strip with a bunch of car dealers, car rental places, and other businesses. Parking was free; I didn't see a valet option. I was charged a $10 cover in a brightly lit foyer, and then walked through a metal detector which went off, and had a brief pat down from a guy at the door to the club proper.

The layout of the club is Philadelphia-standard, with a large rectangular bar surrounding the stage area. There was more room to walk around than the cramped space at Purple Orchid. The decor and atmosphere was lower-rent than Cheerleaders, but it wasn't grubby. One wall was a mirror and another had projection TVs on it showing various sport events. A water at the bar was $5. A dancer cocktail was about $15.

The stage had a continuous rotation of dancers. The performances had more energy than grace but were actual performances with dancing, twerking, and a bit of pole work. Tips occasionally got thrown across the bar moat to the stage, but that was rare. In another Philadelphia standard, the dancers came around after their stage set looking for tips. All were happy with whatever small amount I gave them. I had fewer dancers come by looking for tips without having been on stage than I encountered at Cheerleaders.
